Category 1: Campfire [0.5m x 0.5m]
Category 2: Backyard in Industrial Burning [3m x 3m], Material cannot exceed 10cm (4 inches) in diameter.
Category 3: Industrial & Resource Management Burning [Larger than 3m X 3m or machine-built], Material cannot exceed 50cm (19 inches) in diameter.

Anyone lighting a Category 3 fire must first obtain a BURN REGISTRATION NUMBER by calling the Ministry of the Environment at 1-888-797-1717. You will be asked to provide the legal address of the property.
